Our very own Sandra de Jersey put on her fourth fashion show event at Kawana Surf Club 21st October 2018 as a fundraiser for the Cindy McKenzie Breast Cancer Foundation. It is a not-for-profit program that operates in association with Buderim Private Hospital, assisting women and their families living with cancer. This cancer charity is very close to Sandra’s heart as her mother Eileen, was diagnosed with cancer at aged 37.
“I was fortunate enough to have mum until she was 69 but she went through being diagnosed, through radiotherapy and chemotherapy, three times; and there was nothing like the Cindy McKenzie Breast Cancer Program in Malaysia where she lived,” said Sandra.
Over 100 people attended Fabulous Funky Fashions - all donning pink and pink fascinators and accessories to show support for Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer awareness.
It was a fun-filled afternoon with many members from the Remax First Caloundra team getting involved. Karl and Lindi Rademeyer gave away 15 tickets for lucky locals to attend the event. Charlie Campbell was the MC for the afternoon and Yianni Mooney ran the auction to raise the bids for the prizes donated by local businesses . Gayle Marshall and Gillian Hendry walked the catwalk and took part in the fashion show modelling the stunning Veducci Clothing that was modelled.
Thank you to everyone who attended and showed their support, the models and the local businesses that supported this event including Ultiqa Shearwater Resort, Frocals, Sebel Pelican Waters and Hammond’s.
We all look forward to seeing what Sandra is going to do next time around for this annual and much anticipated event!
