Kawana Shoppingworld, located in nearby suburb Buddina, services most retail needs and is complemented by smaller suburban stores.
Housing in the area is a mix of brick and tile homes as well as contemporary beach houses. Many properties located on the east side of Nicklin Way have been bought and renovated in recent years. Located in neighbouring suburbs Birtinya & Wurtulla is the new Kawana Waters residential development. As the development spreads the strong property growth experienced over the last five years looks set to continue. Anecdotal evidence suggests that more and more buyers from outside the Sunshine Coast are looking toward the region and places like Kawana Waters as lifestyle alternatives. Attracted by the proximity to good services and other areas of the Sunshine Coast, Kawana Waters is home to families and retirees alike.
